The benchmark for safe Moving and Handling
The All Wales Passport for Moving and Handling is a recognized competency framework used across Wales to standardize moving and handling practices in health and social care settings.
It serves as a guide to ensure that workers have the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out safe patient handling, reducing the risk of injury to both staff and patients.
The passport provides a structured approach, with specific training and assessments to ensure that individuals are competent in various aspects of manual handling, including using equipment, moving patients, and maintaining safety protocols.
The All Wales Passport is widely used by NHS Wales and other care providers to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices in manual handling.
